Festivals: Celebrate Bandra, Kala Ghoda, Navi Mumbai (CIDCO)

The Pomegranate Workshop has been conducting workshops and holding stalls at several prominent festivals in the city since the last few years. We work in close association with festival organizers to provide customized workshops for these festivals – be it representing their charitable efforts, incorporating festival themes or just showing the kids a good time.

At the Celebrate Bandra Festival 2009, The Pomegranate Workshop conducted Art workshops for children across 3 language mediums – English, Marathi and Gujarati – at a Municipal School in Bandra. At these workshops, the children discovered colours, textures and objects in their very own school garden that they could use in artworks of their own. The workshops were all conducted by reputed artists and art experts.

The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has brought art of all kinds into the heart of Mumbai since over a decade. At this Festival, we held workshops in clay modeling with traditional artists and craftspersons.

At the Navi Mumbai Festival in 2009, The Pomegranate Workshop held sessions in storytelling and illustrations for the children of Navi Mumbai, who poured out in droves to try their hand at storytelling. Keeping in mind the diverse population in the vicinity, the sessions were conducted in English, Hindi and Marathi – simultaneously!
